Christian Wear, 20-year-old nephew of Blaine Wear is going on a mission effort to Cambodia in July. He will be partnering with an organization called "Hard Places Community." They will be getting children off the streets who have been sexually abused and sharing the Gospel with them. Offerings will be collected until May 7th in the basket under the Cambodia flag in the main sanctuary.
The National Day of Prayer is May 4. There will be a gathering of prayer warriors on that day in front of the new courthouse in Breckinridge Caounty at 12 noon...coming in agreement with prayer warriors across the nation. This year's theme is FOR YOUR GREAT NAME'S SAKE! HEAR US...FORGIVE US...HEAL US! O Lord, hear; O Lord forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. (Daniel 9:19)
The annual Memorial Day Trail Ride is going to be diffeent this year. There will be a campout and ride after services on Sunday, May 30-June 1 at Maple Springs Campground in Mammoth Cave National Park. If you are interested or want more information, call Vicki Higdon at 270-863-1254.
